The Board of the Belarusian Notary Chamber has set the dates for republican campaigns offering free consultations to citizens and business representatives in 2019, Artur Strekh, assistant to the Chairman of the Belarusian Notary Chamber, informed a BELTA correspondent.

Such events are traditionally timed to coincide with national holidays and other memorable dates of the country. Citizens will be able to consult a notary and receive answers to their questions on March 15 (the campaign is dedicated to Constitution Day of Belarus), May 4 (to celebrate Victory Day), July 2 (to celebrate Independence Day and the 75th anniversary of the liberation of Belarus from the Nazi invaders). Free consultations will also be held on October 14 (the campaign is dedicated to Mother's Day in Belarus) and November 29 (timed to coincide with Lawyer's Day).

During the upcoming events, specialists will provide free consultations on issues within the competence of a notary, including the processing of inheritance rights, drafting wills, marriage contracts, alienation of real estate, and the performance of executive inscriptions.

The events are primarily aimed at ensuring the protection of the rights and legitimate interests of citizens, and at raising the level of legal awareness, legal culture, and literacy of the population. Annually, during such campaigns, notaries provide free consultations to approximately 15,000 applicants.

A full list of notary offices and bureaus, as well as their working hours, can be found on the website of the Belarusian Notary Chamber at belnotary.by in the "Find a Notary" section.
