Belarusian internet providers are required to store information about websites visited by users from January 1. This is stipulated by Resolution No. 6 of the Ministry of Communications and Informatization of Belarus dated February 18, 2015, according to BELTA.
The document notes that internet service providers are obliged to generate and store up-to-date information about internet resources visited by internet service users using hardware and software complexes.
Providers will retain the following information about users, including individuals, including individual entrepreneurs: the number and date of the telecommunication services agreement; surname, given name, patronymic (if any); user's address or the address of the terminal subscriber equipment (terminal) installation; data allowing to determine (identify) the internet service user or their terminal subscriber equipment (terminal); MAC address or identification number of the terminal subscriber equipment (terminal) of a mobile cellular telecommunication internet service user; for mobile cellular telecommunication network subscribers - details of the identity document (its name, series, number, date of issue, and the name of the issuing state authority).
For legal entities, the following information will be retained: the number and date of the telecommunication services agreement; the name (company name) of the legal entity, its legal address; the address of the terminal subscriber equipment (terminal) installation of the internet service user; data allowing to determine (identify) the internet service user or their terminal subscriber equipment (terminal); MAC address or identification number of the terminal subscriber equipment (terminal) of a mobile cellular telecommunication internet service user.
In addition, information about all telecommunication services activated by the internet service user, as well as the date, start and end time of connections, internal and external IP addresses and ports of the terminal subscriber equipment (terminal), the domain name or IP address and port of the internet resource visited by the internet service user, and the volume of transmitted and received data will be stored.
