Belarusian specialists to learn about Swedish experience in fathers' involvement in family and children's lives

The event, themed "Creating a Sustainable System for Involving Men (Fathers) in the Lives of Children and Families in the Republic of Belarus," will take place at the branch of the Russian State Social University. It will include a plenary session and work in thematic groups. Among the main topics to be discussed with the involvement of experts are: "Swedish Experience of Involving Fathers in Family and Children's Lives" (Sweden); "The Image of a Father in the Media" (Russia); "Creating a Sustainable System for Involving Fathers in the Lives of Children and Families in Belarus: Achievements and Challenges" (Belarus); "Regional Experience of Work in Dad Schools" (Belarus); "Research Activities in the Study of the Phenomenon of Fatherhood" (Russia, Belarus); "State Family Policy and the Role of the Father in Strengthening the Family" (Belarus).

In addition, such topics as "Working with 'Pregnant Couples' - Involving Fathers at the Start," "Teenagers as a Mirror of the Family - Gender Stereotypes and Gender Identity," "Student Families and the Specifics of the Father's Position within Them," and others are proposed for discussion.

The aim of the round table is to inform specialists, representatives of state organizations, academia, and the public sector about the formation of responsible fatherhood, and to develop mechanisms for promoting social technologies for involving fathers in family and children's lives. A resolution is planned to be adopted based on the outcomes.
