Belarusian student teams will participate in the construction of the Vostochny Cosmodrome in Russia

Belarusian student work teams will participate in the construction of the Vostochny Cosmodrome in Russia (Amur Oblast). This was reported to a BELTA correspondent by Sergey Klishevich, Second Secretary of the Central Committee of the NGO "BRSM".

The official opening of the third labour semester will take place only in the last days of April, however, preparations for it are underway at an accelerated pace. Weekly, the "Choose a Student Team!" campaign is held at the labour affairs headquarters of primary organisations of the NGO "BRSM" in higher, secondary vocational, and professional-technical education institutions. One of its objectives is to inform young people about employment opportunities during the third labour semester.

In many regions of the country, regional training seminars for commanders and commissars of labour affairs headquarters of educational institutions and linear teams have already been held, with training sessions and master classes organised in a game format. Meetings were held with representatives of authorities overseeing youth policy, education, labour and social protection, and healthcare departments. Incidentally, taking advantage of the opportunity for year-round employment, medical student teams began working in the Vitebsk region from April 1, 2015. Production and scientific teams are planning to start their activities in Minsk soon. This profile (like medical student teams) is also included for the first time in the list of student team types.

This year, when organising student teams, it is planned to focus on outbound teams within the country, the development of the student team movement culture, and ensuring the ideological component of the team's work. For this purpose, the Republican Headquarters of Student Teams of BRSM has developed a new strategy for the development of Belarusian student teams, their symbols, and attributes. Numerous rallies and festivals for team participants will be held for the first time.

Close cooperation between the BRSM and the All-Russian youth public organization "Russian Student Brigades" will allow Belarusian students to participate in the construction of the Vostochny Cosmodrome in the Amur region (All-Russian Youth Construction Project). In Belarus, a joint Belarusian-Russian brigade will operate at the construction sites of the Belarusian NPP (All-Belarusian Youth Construction Project).

It is planned to sign a cooperation agreement between the BRSM NGO and the NDCC "Zubronok". The document provides for the creation of a support platform for the training of leaders, commanders, commissars, and methodologists of student pedagogical brigades.

The labour semester of the current year is marked by the 70th anniversary of the Great Victory. In this regard, the campaign "Student Brigades Named After Them" will be held on the territory of the Union State. Each student brigade will be named after a Hero of the Soviet Union, a full cavalier of the Order of Glory. Student brigade members will provide feasible assistance to veterans, lonely elderly people, and will be involved in the improvement of monuments, memorials, obelisks, and mass graves.
