Belarusian representatives at the jubilee X International Children's Music Competition "Vitebsk-2012" of the XXI International Festival of Arts "Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk", Evgenia Klepitskaya and Liza Muravyova, will take the stage on the first competition day under numbers 5 and 17, respectively, BELTA correspondent reports from the participants' draw ceremony.
On the second competition day, the girls will perform under numbers 12 and 7, respectively. Evgenia Klepitskaya will present the songs "Kadril" and "Belarus" to the jury, while Liza, a student of Svetlana Statsenko, will try to impress with her performance of the compositions "Paparats-kvetka" and "Nebo cherez kray".
As always, the magic of numbers is captivating at the draw. The first to try out the stage of the "Vitebsk" Concert Hall, the traditional venue for the children's competition, on July 16 will be 10-year-old Russian Anna Muzafarova, and on the second competition day - Denis from Moldova. Valeria Khomenko from Ukraine and Georgia's representative Mariam Bichoshvili will close the performances, respectively. The 13th number, which Alisher Zhaksybay from Kazakhstan and Diana from Romania will perform under, might prove lucky for them, as might the number 15 for the participant from Macedonia, under which he will perform on both competition days. A total of 20 young performers from 17 countries are participating in the jubilee International Children's Music Competition "Vitebsk-2012". Gabi from Poland could not attend the musical competition due to personal circumstances. In a conversation with a BELTA correspondent, Belarusian participants Zhenya and Liza wished everyone good luck and victory, and of course, each other. "It doesn't matter under which number you have to sing, the main thing is to represent your country with dignity," the girls believe.
The International Children's Music Competition "Vitebsk-2012" will be held from July 16 to 18. On the first day of the competition (July 16), at the "Vitebsk" Concert Hall, young participants will perform a pop song by a composer from their country and in the language of the country they represent. On the second day (July 17), they will perform a pop song of their choice that best reflects the contestant's performance skills and artistic abilities.
Belarus will be represented at the competition by Evgenia Klepitskaya and Liza Muravyova.
Evgenia Klepitskaya is 11 years old. She studies at Gymnasium No. 61 in Minsk. The girl has been singing since she was 5 years old and is a soloist of the vocal studio "Mixt". Evgenia actively participates in music and song contests. She is a laureate of the III prize of the III Open Arts Competition "Victoria" (Minsk, Belarus, 2009), the international festival-competition of stage art "We Are Together!" (Minsk, Belarus, 2010), the II Open Competition of Young Performers of Pop Songs "New Names - Junior" (Minsk, Belarus, 2010), the VII International Festival of Young Talents "Land Under White Wings" (Mozyr, Belarus, 2011), the international festival of children's and youth creativity "We Are Together" (Brest, Belarus, 2012), a laureate of the III Open Competition of Children's and Youth Creativity "Golden Lyre" (Mogilev, Belarus, 2010), and a laureate of the I prize of the open competition of children's and youth creativity "New Achievements" (Minsk, Belarus, 2012).
Elizaveta Muravyova is 10 years old. She also lives in Minsk. The girl has been studying vocals since she was four years old, and at 7 she became a soloist of the V.G. Muliavin National Centre for Musical Arts. Elizaveta is an active participant in republican and charity concerts. She is a laureate of 14 international competitions and festivals. In 2010, she became a laureate of the I prize of the open competition of new children's songs "Birthday" (Saint Petersburg, Russia), the IX International Children's Singing Competition (Anykščiai, Lithuania), the international media project "How Stars Are Lit" by the "Mir" radio and television company (Minsk, Belarus), the V International Festival-Competition "Rainbow of Stars" (Varna, Bulgaria), and the X International Competition of Young Talents "Kaunas Talent" (Lithuania). In 2011, she was a laureate of the II prize of the international festival-competition of children's and youth creativity "Ezerski Biseri" (Struga, Macedonia), and the I prize of the X International Festival-Competition of Children's and Youth Creativity "Budapest Constellation - Youth, Inspiration, Talent" in the "pop vocal" nomination (Budapest, Hungary). Also in 2011, Elizaveta received a Special Encouragement Prize from the Special Fund of the President of the Republic of Belarus for the Support of Talented Youth. The jury members include Artur Grigoryan, People's Artist of the Republic of Armenia; Oleg Eliseenkov, a Belarusian composer; Haigashod Agasyan, a Bulgarian composer; Batyrkhan Shukenov, a musician and singer from Kazakhstan; Mariana Sleniene, a representative from Lithuania, a producer and organizer of international competitions and festivals in the Baltics, Spain, and France; Kasia Wilk, a popular Polish singer, laureate of the "Vitebsk-2006" International Pop Song Performers Competition; Alexey Goman, a Russian singer and musician; Romana Panić, a popular singer from Serbia, laureate of the "Vitebsk-2000" International Pop Song Performers Competition; Aniko Rechiashvili, People's Artist of Ukraine, professor.
Based on the results of the competition performances, the Grand Prix winner of the children's competition will receive $5,000, the 1st prize winner - $3,000, the 2nd prize winner - $2,000, the 3rd prize winner - $1,000. Contestants not awarded laureate status will receive a diploma with the title "Diplomant of the X International Children's Music Competition "Vitebsk-2012".
