On November 14, Vitebsk / Sergey Kochetov - BELTA /. Scientists of the Institute of Technical Acoustics of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus (ITA) have developed a unique automated system for accounting for the movement of electricity meters (ASUDES) for energy system enterprises. The development, which has no analogues in the post-Soviet space, will be presented at the republican competition of innovative projects during the Belarusian Innovation Week, which started today, as reported to BELTA correspondent Yuri Tsarenko, Deputy Director of ITA for Scientific and Innovation Work. ASUDES provides an opportunity to organize the accounting of electricity meters and document management based on modern standards, increase labor productivity and minimize the influence of the human factor. The relevance of the development is associated with a significant number of electricity meters in operation and the need to ensure high reliability of data used in control work. The development has been implemented in the "Energosbyt" branch of RUP "Vitebskenergo", by order of which it was carried out. The automated system is based on the use of machine vision and barcoding technology. Each meter is marked with a unique identification number, while the hardware and software developed by Vitebsk scientists allow for the creation of unique identifiers and the printing of barcode labels. The machine vision unit created at ITA ensures the prompt entry of information about the current state of the electricity meter into the database and allows for the documentation of its technological cycle. As a result, it ensures the recognition of technologically significant information from the front surface of the meter, the creation and recognition of barcode information, the display of the meter's production movement in the database, and the timely exchange of information between the databases of the enterprise's structural divisions. In addition, ITA specialists will present a number of recently developed innovations at events during the innovation week, in particular, a technology for hardening and finishing surface treatment, as well as an ultrasonic welding unit for polymer main blood transfusion systems.
