Admission committees of higher education institutions of the second wave, both state and private (except for correspondence and evening courses at agricultural higher education institutions), for all forms of education, begin accepting documents from applicants today. This was reported to a BELTA correspondent by Yulia Vanina, press secretary of the Ministry of Education of Belarus.
Documents can be submitted until July 25 (until July 23 for military faculties).
Since this year, a new provision is in effect, according to which legal representatives of minor applicants are given the opportunity to submit documents to the admission committees of educational institutions and conclude training agreements. In the absence of the original passport of the applicant, notarized copies of the passport pages must be presented.
The second wave higher education institutions include state and private higher education institutions, with the exception of institutions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Ministry of Emergency Situations, Ministries of Defense and Culture. Applicants must submit three CT certificates to the university, or two if the university will conduct an internal examination in the subject. Internal university exams await applicants only in creative disciplines (drawing, music, dance, composition, etc.), literature, and physical education.
When applying for specialties such as "Public Administration", "Public Administration and Law", "Public Administration and Economics", "International Relations", "International Law", "Jurisprudence", "Economic Law", "Journalism" (including as a second specialty), "International Journalism", "Customs Affairs", a special recommendation is required after a professional and psychological interview. This document must be obtained by everyone, regardless of the intended duration of study or form. The rule applies equally to all who choose full-time, evening, or correspondence forms of education (including distance learning), shortened study programs, as well as those who will study under a targeted training agreement.
When applying, the average score of the education document will be taken into account. Therefore, the enrollment of applicants in higher education institutions for state-funded and fee-paying places for all forms of education is carried out through competition based on the total score calculated from the results of entrance examinations and the average score of the education document.
From applicants who have passed entrance examinations but were not admitted to full-time state-funded education, documents for participation in the competition at the same higher education institution for part-time and evening forms of education at the expense of the budget (except for higher education institutions of agricultural profile) will be accepted until August 2. For applicants who have passed entrance examinations, for participation in the competition for full-time, part-time and evening forms of education on a fee-paying basis - until August 4.
Admission based on separate competition for applicants who are graduates of urban and rural educational institutions will be carried out only for state-funded places. Admission of applicants on a fee-paying basis will be conducted under a general competition.
The operating hours of the admission committees of higher education institutions during the period of document acceptance, entrance examinations, and applicant admission will remain unchanged. The admission committees of educational institutions will operate from Monday to Saturday from 9:00 to 18:00. If the last day for accepting documents, conducting entrance examinations, or admitting applicants falls on a Sunday, the admission committees will operate on that day from 9:00 to 18:00. The admission committees of "second stream" higher education institutions will operate on Saturdays - July 21, 28, August 4, and one Sunday - July 29 (for higher education institutions conducting internal examinations).
Admission committees will inform applicants about the progress of document acceptance on the internet resource, on paper media, and, if possible, on electronic media in the established form. Information will be updated daily at least once every three hours of the admission committee's operation (9:00, 12:00, 15:00, 18:00).
On the last day of document acceptance, informing applicants about the progress of document acceptance will cease at 15:00. Admission of applicants to the building of the educational institution where the admission committee is located will end at 18:00. On the last day of document acceptance, the admission committee will cease issuing documents to applicants for submission to another specialty at 18:00, while ensuring the acceptance of documents from all applicants present in the building of the higher education institution where the admission committee is located after the admission has ceased.The volume of targeted training this year will reach up to 30% of the admission quotas for certain specialties. As in 2011, railway transport specialties are included in the list for targeted admission. The possibility of targeted admission with a competition of one person per place is provided. Among those eligible for admission without exams are winners of international Olympiads and the final stage of the republican Olympiad. Winners (diploma of the I degree) of the third (regional and Minsk city) stages of the republican Olympiad automatically receive 100 points in the profile subject.
In addition, for specialties of agricultural profile, in a separate competition, all applicants residing in rural settlements for at least two years at the time of education are considered rural, regardless of the location of the educational institution they graduated from.
To improve the system of registering CT participants, an experiment on electronic admission of applicants to universities is being conducted this year based at the Belarusian State University of Informatics and Radioelectronics, as well as several regional universities. BNTU, BSUIR, Belarusian State Technological University, Brest State Technical University, Yanka Kupala Grodno State University, Francysk Skaryna Gomel State University, and Polotsk State University have joined the experiment. Applicants submitting documents to these universities for full-time state-funded education in a number of economic and technical-technological specialties will be offered to complete a questionnaire and indicate 5 admission options in order of priority. All questionnaire data will be transferred to BSUIR for further processing and analysis of virtual admission results.
