The Belarusian Industrial and Investment Forum opens today in Minsk at the Football Manege venue, as reported to BELTA by the organisers.
The Belarusian Industrial and Investment Forum is one of the largest exhibition projects in the CIS, bringing together several international specialised exhibitions in the field of scientific and technical development and modern technologies: "TechInnoProm", "Profsvarka", "Chemistry. Oil and Gas", "Plastech". During the event, the Belarusian-Japanese and Belarusian-Slovak economic forums, and the Indian-Belarusian business and technology forum will also be held.
As reported by Deputy Minister of Industry Sergei Ganko, this year's events are being held in a new format. "This year we are holding the forum in autumn, whereas previously it was held at the end of spring, in May. In 2019, we proposed a slightly different concept for the industrial forum: we combined it into an industrial and investment forum, and added the economic sector, the oil and gas and chemical, and plastics industries," noted Sergei Ganko. "The trend of the forum is that we are concluding a five-year plan (2016-2020) and entering a new one, accordingly, we are studying growth points, with what plans, products, and technologies we will enter it."
The forum programme includes international symposia, conferences, and round tables on modern technologies and equipment for the industrial complex, prospects for the development of additive technologies, and the application of composite materials in the petrochemical industry. A subcontracting exchange in industry, an innovation development fair, a cooperation exchange "Science and Industry – Strategy for Innovative Cooperation", seminars, and presentations will take place.
Delegations from Germany, Hungary, India, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Ukraine, and Russia have planned to participate in the forum to familiarise themselves with Belarus's export potential and expand cooperation.
The forum events will continue until September 20.
