27 December, Minsk /BELTA correspondent/. Following trading on the unified session of the Belarusian Currency and Stock Exchange on 27 December, the exchange rate of the Belarusian ruble against the US dollar and the euro continued to rise, reports BELTA correspondent.
Against the dollar, the national currency strengthened by Br20 to Br8360 per $1. Compared to the last exchange trading session for the US currency (23 December), the volume of concluded deals almost doubled, reaching $68.311 million. Preliminary offers for sale today amounted to $68.373 million, and for purchase - $65.594 million.
Against the euro, the Belarusian ruble also strengthened today - by Br30 to Br10930 per 1 euro. The supply for sale of the European currency in today's trading significantly exceeded demand: according to preliminary applications, 52.8 million euros were offered for sale, and 50.192 million euros were sought for purchase. As a result of trading, the volume of concluded deals was at the level of demand (23 December - 30.494 million euros).
Only against the Russian ruble did the exchange rate of the national currency continue to decline today, albeit insignificantly. It was set at Br269 per 1 Russian ruble, compared to Br268 yesterday. The volume of demand for Russian rubles was 1 billion 608.1 million Russian rubles, with an offer for sale of 1 billion 535.212 million. As a result, the trading volume for this currency was slightly above the offer, but did not reach the demand level - 1 billion 542.212 million Russian rubles (26 December - 886.836 million). -0-
