The monthly compensation for pedagogical staff to purchase educational and methodological literature has been increased more than threefold, from Br7,500 to Br22,650. This provision is contained in the Resolution of the Ministry of Education No. 273 "On determining the procedure, conditions and amount of monthly compensation for expenses on the purchase of educational and methodological literature by pedagogical staff," the press center of the Ministry of Education of Belarus informed BelTA. With these funds, pedagogical staff can purchase educational and methodological documentation, educational publications, information and analytical materials, scientific and methodological subject-specific journals, and other periodicals. Pedagogical staff had been receiving a monthly compensation for educational and methodological literature in the amount of Br7,500 since 1997, regardless of the increase in the first-category rate, currency exchange rates, or other economic changes. The new resolution regulates the amount, procedure, and conditions for paying the compensation, which is set at 15% of the first-category tariff rate established for the remuneration of employees of budget organizations. Therefore, as the first-category rate increases, this amount will also increase. The document also defines the list of positions of pedagogical staff who receive monthly compensation. The job titles have been brought into line with the regulations on the relevant type of institution and the conditions for the remuneration of pedagogical staff. In the next salary payment (in most regions - in early December), pedagogical staff will receive three compensations at once – for October, November, and December.-0-
