It is planned that the main working areas of the center, which will be named after the famous Indian politician Rajiv Gandhi, will be located on four university bases in Grodno, Vitebsk, Gomel, and Brest. The main task of the Hi-Tech Park in 2011 is to organize high-quality training for the IT sector, said Valery Tsepkalo. "We are already cooperating quite seriously with Belarusian universities in disseminating the work experience, practical knowledge and skills of representatives of the Hi-Tech Park and resident companies of the Hi-Tech Park. Last year alone, 15 specialized IT laboratories were opened in universities. So, in total, there are now more than 45 laboratories functioning in Belarusian universities, a business incubator at BSUIR, an IT academy in Vitebsk," the Director of the Hi-Tech Park noted. "An important step in promoting IT knowledge will be the opening of the Belarusian-Indian Educational Center in Belarus. The Hi-Tech Park plans to hold regular seminars for teachers of schools, secondary vocational schools, and universities at the center's bases." As the Director noted, "the important significance of the Hi-Tech Park's work for Belarus is also evidenced by the fact that on February 21, the Minsk City Executive Committee presented the management of the Hi-Tech Park with land selection certificates for the construction of four production buildings of the Hi-Tech Park." As planned, the city authorities will undertake the construction of infrastructure and housing for programmers, Valery Tsepkalo reported.
