The first film project of the Union State, the military-patriotic drama "Brest Fortress", has been nominated in eight categories for the Russian national film award "Nika". This was reported to a BELTA correspondent by the Television and Radio Broadcasting Organization of the Union State "TRO Soyuza", which created the film together with the film studio "Belarusfilm". In the main nomination "Best Film", "Brest Fortress" will compete with the films "How I Spent This Summer", "The Stovemaker", "The Edge", and "Ovsianki". In addition, the film has been nominated for "Nika" in the categories "Best Director", "Best Sound Designer", "Best Production Design", "Best Costume Design", "Best Actor" (Pavel Derevyanko), "Best Supporting Actor" (Evgeny Tsyganov), and "Discovery of the Year" (Alesha Kopashov). The "Nika" award ceremony will take place in Moscow on April 7.
