Belarusians will receive SMS messages inviting them to vote in the elections of deputies to the House of Representatives. This was stated by the Chairperson of the Central Election Commission of Belarus, Lidiya Yarmoshyna, on the air of the online television channel "SB. Belarus Today", as reported by BELTA.

"The Central Election Commission has sent an application to the Ministry of Communications and Informatization, and all voters will receive corresponding SMS messages with a request to come to the polling stations," said Lidiya Yarmoshyna.

The head of the CEC noted that the distribution will be carried out automatically, so a message may be sent to a phone number belonging to a foreigner or a minor citizen who cannot vote in the elections. "Please accept this with understanding," Lidiya Yarmoshyna asked. "The state, of course, works with citizens to encourage them to come and participate in the elections."

The elections to the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus will be held on September 11.
