As the main broadcaster of the II European Games 2019, Belteleradiocompany will present a live broadcast of the grand opening ceremony of the continental sports forum, which will take place at the National Olympic Stadium "Dynamo" in Minsk. This was reported to BelTA by the press service of the media holding.

The live broadcast of the grand opening ceremony of the competitions will begin at 21:50 on "Belarus 1", "Belarus 5", "Belarus 5. Internet", as well as on the media holding's website tvr.by.

"More than 2,000 people are involved in the preparation of the show – artists, technical staff, makeup artists, costume designers, set designers, and choreographers. Athletes from 50 participating countries will take to the stadium field. To create three-dimensional realistic objects, scenery made of mobile screens will be installed, and a total of 90 tons of modern high-tech equipment will be used. Virtual objects will become part of the surrounding space, and they will be visible not only to those attending the stadium, by installing a special application on their smartphones, but also to TV viewers. More than 22,000 spectators will be able to witness the opening of the II European Games firsthand," the press service said.

The main goal of the ceremony is to reveal the rich history of Belarus, its folklore, captivating legends and traditions, and to present architectural monuments, historical figures, and contemporaries. Spectators will immerse themselves in the festive atmosphere of the mystical Kupala Night, get acquainted with the Slavic tribes who became the ancestors of the Belarusian nation, and see Euphrosyne of Polotsk, Francysk Skaryna, the Radziwill family, Marc Chagall, Yanka Kupala, Yakub Kolas, and many others.

The organizers are keeping the details of the show a secret, however, it is known that the best Belarusian artists will take part in the concert program: leading opera and ballet soloists, dance ensembles, and popular performers. Opera diva Anna Netrebko and the winner of "Slavianski Bazaar - 2015" Dimash Kudaibergen will also perform for the audience.

A touching moment will be the conclusion of the "Flame of Peace" torch relay, which will light the modernized cauldron at the "Dynamo" stadium, where the sparks of the sports festival already burned during the 1980 Olympics.
