22 October, Vitebsk /Olga Bogacheva - BELTA/. RUPP "BelVituniphar" plans to establish a new pharmaceutical production facility in Vitebsk, reports BELTA correspondent. The cost of the investment project, presented at the business forum in Vitebsk, is 12.6 million euros. The payback period is 4 years. Its implementation is aimed at creating a modern pharmaceutical enterprise in Belarus that meets international requirements in the field of development, production, and quality control of medicinal products, which will solve the problem of import substitution and ensure the country's drug security with the prospect of exporting domestic pharmaceutical products to foreign markets. The establishment of an enterprise for the production of finished medicinal products at the industrial site in Vitebsk is justified and aims to provide the population of Belarus with high-quality and affordable drugs, with an annual supply volume to the domestic market of 7.6 million euros (from 2011 to 2017) and 81.8 million euros per year for export (from 2014 to 2017). The relevance of further production development is due to the fact that the import of medicinal products into Belarus exceeds 317 million euros. In addition, the project implementation will create new jobs by 2015 and employ about 306 people, ensuring import substitution of finished medicinal products by 2015 worth 7.6 million euros.
