Winter holidays always bring a special mood, not only to children but also to adults. However, even during festive merriment, one should not forget about safety. To ensure that the New Year and Christmas leave only happy memories, employees of the district emergency situations department, as part of the republican campaign "Safe New Year," visited state educational institutions in the district.
During the meeting, rescuers informed the children about emergency situations they might encounter during the winter period, about rules of conduct during icy conditions, discussed the dangers of winter water bodies, and also reasoned about how to correctly and safely set up a Christmas tree at home.
- When decorating the symbol of the New Year holidays, only high-quality electric garlands should be used, do not overload the electrical grid, avoid the use of candles and open flames, and do not place the tree close to heating appliances, - explained the rescuers.
Representatives of the Ministry of Emergency Situations touched upon the topic of handling pyrotechnic devices, and to consolidate the acquired knowledge, they organised a screening of the educational cartoon "The Magical Book of the Ministry of Emergency Situations" for the children.
An important part of the events was the children's participation in interactive games and quizzes, where they could demonstrate their knowledge and skills regarding safe behaviour during the holiday period.
At the end of the meeting, rescuers presented participants with visual educational materials.
