"Children's safety is the responsibility of adults!". Under this slogan, a unified road safety day will be held across the country on May 31. Special attention will be paid to the transportation of children in cars. Local drivers' compliance with this rule will be checked by officers of the Department of Internal Affairs of the Lepel District Executive Committee (OIAI Lepel ROVD), who will also remind citizens of their responsibility for the absence of restraint devices.
In addition, traffic police inspectors will conduct targeted road operations, during which they will monitor whether drivers are using low beam headlights during daylight hours. They will also interact with pedestrians and cyclists. The latter will be reminded that children under 14 years of age cannot ride a bicycle on the roadway without adult supervision.
Other preventive measures will also be carried out. Those who violate traffic regulations will be held accountable.
Please note that due to the end of the academic year and the start of summer holidays, in order to prevent accidents involving children, a special comprehensive event "Attention – Children!" is being held from May 25 to June 5.
