In order to prevent the deterioration of the road traffic situation on the eve of school holidays, the State Automobile Inspectorate will strengthen road safety control.
Traffic police patrols throughout the country will work on accident-prone sections of roads, directing efforts to suppress gross violations of traffic rules by car and motorcycle drivers. Traffic police crews will be brought closer to pedestrian crossings, and compliance with the Rules by cyclists and pedestrians, including those using personal mobility devices, will be brought under special control.
Accident analysis shows that an increase in the number of road traffic accidents involving minors is possible during the holidays.
The State Automobile Inspectorate reminds you of the safety rules:
when transporting children in a car, adults are obliged to ensure the availability of a child restraint system appropriate for the child's weight and height;
when approaching a pedestrian crossing or roadway, teach children to look around and let approaching vehicles pass, starting to cross only after all cars have stopped;
when approaching stops, pedestrian crossings, and educational institutions, reduce speed and be prepared to stop at any moment; when driving in courtyards, remember that a child may appear from behind any object.
