As part of the republican campaign "Safety in Every Home!", employees of the Lepel District Department for Emergency Situations visited large families to conduct educational sessions for children and their parents, aiming to prevent fires and fatalities.
Representatives of the "101" service reminded the children of safety rules at home, on the street, and at school, and discussed how to act if an emergency situation occurs. The boys and girls practiced the action plan in case of a fire and recalled the phone numbers to call rescuers.
– Remember, if a fire breaks out, never hide under the bed or in a closet. You need to run outside and inform adults about what happened, – the employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations reminded them.
At the end of the meetings, rescuers urged adults to observe fire safety rules, not to leave children unattended, and to educate the younger generation by their own example.
– Do not leave children unattended, keep lighters, matches, and other fire hazardous items out of reach. When leaving home, do not leave electrical appliances switched on. Timely maintenance of autonomous fire detectors, which are indispensable assistants in detecting fires, should be carried out, – the propaganda inspector emphasized to the parents.
