As part of the 2nd stage of the republican campaign "Safety - in Every Home!", on February 16, Lepel rescuers organised a meeting with first-year students of the educational institution "Lepel State Agrarian-Technical College". Employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations informed the attendees about fire safety rules and emergency situations that students might encounter in their daily lives, as well as at the educational institution. Examples of emergency situations and tragedies were given to make the younger generation reflect on whether it is worth risking their lives for a moment's entertainment.
During the event, a survey was conducted among the youth, and they also participated in a life safety quiz, and the "Install Smoke Detector" and "Donning Firefighting Gear" contests. Various emergency situations were simulated for the students, and they, in turn, developed the correct course of action for each situation. The presentation of the mobile application "Ministry of Emergency Situations of Belarus. Help is Nearby" was met with great interest, and many students installed it on their gadgets right during the event.
To reinforce the learned material, educational films "Fire Safety in Student Dormitories" and "Fire Extinguishers" were demonstrated.
