As part of the second stage of the republican campaign "Safety - in Every Home!", Lepel rescuers organised a meeting with 4th-year students of the Educational Institution "Lepel State Agrarian-Technical College" and pupils of Sloboda Kindergarten-Secondary School. Ministry of Emergency Situations employees informed the young people about fire safety rules and emergency situations that students and schoolchildren might encounter in their daily lives, as well as at their educational institutions. Examples of emergency situations and tragedies were presented to make the younger generation reflect on whether it is worth risking their lives for a moment's entertainment.
During the events with the youth, a questionnaire was conducted, and they also participated in a life safety quiz and the "Install Smoke Detector" competition. Various emergency situations were simulated for the young people, and they, in turn, developed the correct course of action for each situation. The presentation of the mobile application "Ministry of Emergency Situations of Belarus. Help is Nearby" was met with great interest, and many young people installed it on their gadgets right during the event.
To reinforce the learned material, educational films "Fire Safety in Student Dormitories," "Safety - in Every Home," and "Fire Extinguishers" were demonstrated.
