With the onset of warm weather, residents and guests of our town go out of town in their free time, to water bodies, to relax and regain their strength in the lap of nature. Often, while relaxing, citizens forget about water safety measures, which leads to tragic consequences.

In the current period of 2021 alone, 2 citizens have drowned in water bodies within the Lepel district (Lepel town – 1, Borovka village – 1). All citizens were intoxicated while swimming.

To ensure the protection of public order, personal and property safety of citizens in places of mass recreation and spontaneous recreation areas, the internal affairs department of the Lepel District Executive Committee deploys police patrols in places of mass recreation for citizens, so that nothing can disturb people's rest. The appearance of a police officer in uniform in places of mass recreation for citizens makes holidaymakers more disciplined, which reduces the risk of accidents. The measures taken to ensure the protection of public order in places of mass recreation for citizens and spontaneous areas are aimed at reducing the risk of accidents and various offenses against holidaymakers. In the summer period of 2021 alone, employees of the Lepel District Department of Internal Affairs seized and brought to administrative responsibility from places of mass recreation for citizens 9 citizens for drinking low-alcohol beverages and 2 citizens for swimming in prohibited areas.

Administrative responsibility will arise when drinking alcoholic and low-alcohol beverages occurs in the presence of citizens. Do not forget about the responsibility for violating environmental safety regulations and the order of nature management, as well as fire safety.

It should be noted that according to the decision of the Lepel District Executive Committee No. 264 of March 22, 2021 "on determining places of mass recreation for citizens in the Lepel district", swimming is prohibited in the following water bodies:
