With the aim of preventing fires caused by children's carelessness with fire, child fatalities at water bodies, and injuries, as well as conducting educational work on life safety with the younger generation during the summer holidays, employees of the Lepel District Department for Emergency Situations visited all school-based camps in the district.

These meetings with rescuers are not the first for the children. And it so happened that the children always greet the department's employees with smiles. This time, all meetings were held in school-based camps as part of the republican campaign "Holidays without Smoke and Fire". Employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations talked with the children about the rules of conduct at water bodies and when visiting forests, and about observing safety rules on the street and at home. The girls and boys gladly participated in various games and quizzes, actively engaged in dialogue, and shared their knowledge of life safety accumulated during the academic year with the rescuers. Sports grounds were also organised, where teams competed for knowledge of safety rules.

All the children had the opportunity to feel like real rescuers. Everyone could sit behind the wheel of a fire truck, put on an insulating gas mask and breathe in it, as well as compete in donning the combat uniform of a firefighter rescuer.

All the children received a positive emotional boost, replenished their knowledge with new and useful information, and also received useful visual aids from the Ministry of Emergency Situations from the rescuers.
