During the second stage of the republican campaign "Safe New Year!", Lepel rescuers conducted preventive measures at the Educational Institution "I.M. Yerashov Gymnasium" and the Educational Institution "Lepel Children's Creativity Centre". During the Christmas and New Year holidays, the number of fires and injuries among children and adults increases due to violations of safety rules. Therefore, the Ministry of Emergency Situations employees focused the schoolchildren's attention on the rules for using pyrotechnic devices, New Year's garlands, and rules of conduct on water bodies during winter. To attract children's attention to safety issues and improve their understanding of educational materials, engaging contests and games were held with the children. Through these activities, children learned how to safely decorate a Christmas tree, extinguish a fire in its early stages, and recalled emergency service numbers. Furthermore, the gymnasium students practically practiced the building evacuation plan. Active participants in the events were presented with "Safe Childhood" leaflets. At the end of the meeting, the rescuers wished the children safe holidays, and they, in turn, promised to observe safety rules and carefully ensure that their parents also adhere to these rules.
