From December 2 to 28, the Lepel district will host the republican campaign "Safe New Year!", aimed at preventing fires and accidents due to violations of fire safety rules during holiday preparations and careless handling of pyrotechnic devices. The campaign will be held in four stages.
From December 2 to 6, Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) employees will visit sanatoriums and social service centers. For participants, entertainment and information programs "Safe New Year" will be conducted, including interactive discussions on life safety fundamentals, thematic contests and quizzes, non-losing lotteries, screening of educational films and videos, as well as performances by creative groups.
From December 9 to 17, similar events will take place in general education institutions, as well as in family-type homes and families with children in socially dangerous situations. Special attention will be paid to children regarding the rules for using pyrotechnics, behavior on water bodies during winter, and safety during winter holidays.
From December 18 to 24, at pyrotechnic sales points, rescuers will conduct preventive discussions with buyers, distribute instructions for the safe use of pyrotechnics, and thematic visual materials. MES representatives will also visit open ice rinks. Here, the MES will organize contests, quizzes, non-losing lotteries, and photo zones. Visits to children's healthcare facilities with contest programs and the awarding of prizes and gifts are also planned.
The final events of the campaign will be held from December 26 to 28. Following a kind tradition, rescuers will participate in the procession of Father Frosts, and then at the central square of the city, the MES will set up educational platforms where they will once again remind the residents of the Lepel region about safety rules, conduct thematic quizzes, contests, lotteries, etc.
We invite everyone to participate in the campaign and spend the holidays not only with interest but also safely!
