From December 7 to 31, the Lepel district will host the republican campaign "Safe New Year!", aimed at preventing fires and accidents resulting from violations of fire safety rules during holiday preparations and careless handling of pyrotechnic devices. The campaign will be held in four stages.
From December 7 to 11, Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) employees will visit sanatoriums and social service centers. Entertainment and informational programs "Safe New Year" will be conducted for participants, including interactive discussions on life safety fundamentals, thematic contests and quizzes, non-losing lotteries, screenings of educational films and videos, as well as performances by creative groups.
From December 14 to 18, similar events will take place in general education institutions, as well as family-type homes and families with children in socially dangerous situations. Special attention will be paid to children regarding the rules for using pyrotechnics, behavior on water bodies in winter, and safety during winter holidays.
From December 21 to 24, rescuers will hold preventive talks with buyers at pyrotechnic sales points, distribute instructions for the safe use of pyrotechnics, and provide thematic visual materials. MES representatives will also visit open ice rinks. Here, the MES will organize contests, quizzes, non-losing lotteries, and photo zones. Visits to children's healthcare facilities with contest programs and prize giveaways are also planned.
The final event of the campaign will take place on December 24. Following a kind tradition, rescuers will participate in the procession of Ded Moroz (Father Frost), and then on the central square of the city, MES employees will set up educational platforms where they will once again remind the residents of the Lepel region about safety rules, conduct thematic quizzes, contests, lotteries, etc.
We invite everyone to participate in the campaign and spend the holidays not only interestingly but also safely!
