As part of the republican campaign "Safe New Year", employees of the Lepel District Department for Emergency Situations are conducting preventive measures with schoolchildren of the Lepel region. Thus, rescuers have already visited Secondary School No. 1 and the Gymnasium of the city of Lepel, as well as Slobodskaya and Zaslonovskaya Secondary Schools of the Lepel District, to once again remind the children about safety rules during the New Year holidays.
Rescuers reminded the children about the dangers of pyrotechnic devices, discussed the specifics of installing a Christmas tree and using electric garlands during the New Year and Christmas holidays. Safety on ice was also not overlooked. The children were strictly warned about the inadmissibility of going out on thin ice.
In addition, rescuers organised and conducted thematic competitions and quizzes. Children solved winter riddles and deciphered encrypted New Year's words.
