With the aim of preventing fires and fatalities, employees of the Lepel District Department for Emergency Situations, while following the route of a mobile shop, informed villagers about the basic fire safety rules.
Rescuers conducted awareness-raising activities with rural residents, teaching them how to prevent fires in their homes and protect their health, lives, and property from fire.
During the preventive talks, employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) informed villagers about fires that had occurred in the district, explained their causes, and demonstrated the autonomous fire alarm, which annually proves its worth by saving dozens of lives.
Special attention during the safety discussions was paid to the rules for operating stoves, domestic boilers, electric heaters, and all electrical appliances used in households.
MES representatives also reminded attendees of the potential consequences of combining "cigarettes and alcohol" and explained how to prevent fire hazardous situations while smoking.
Along with food products, people took away valuable safety knowledge. As a reminder, they were given thematic leaflets with important recommendations for life safety.
