Tickets for the Ice Hockey World Championship will be awarded to the best amateur ice hockey team in the Vitebsk region

Vitebsk, 21 March /Olga Bogacheva - BELTA/. The tickets to the World Hockey Championship will be awarded to the best amateur ice hockey team in the Vitebsk region, the press service of the HC Vitebsk told a BELTA correspondent.

The grand opening of the third Vitebsk region amateur ice hockey championship will take place on March 22 at the Ice Palace of Sports in the regional center. Twelve teams will participate in the current competitions: 8 from districts and 4 from Vitebsk. The competitions will last for over a month and will conclude on April 26 with the final match.

The winners of the competition will be awarded a cup and diplomas. The players of the winning team will also receive tickets to the opening match of the World Hockey Championship in Minsk between the national teams of Belarus and the USA, which will take place on May 9 at the Minsk-Arena. The best player and goaltender of the regional championship will also be awarded valuable prizes.
