This opinion was expressed today to a BELTA correspondent by the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Belarus to Latvia, Alexander Gerasimenko. According to him, the business forum in Vitebsk, held at a high organizational level, provides a good opportunity for personal communication between potential business partners. "This is the best way to establish contacts, as it is one thing to find the necessary information on the Internet and another to learn everything you need from a personal conversation. Therefore, the usefulness of such events is obvious," said Alexander Gerasimenko. The Ambassador of Belarus to Latvia also drew attention to the new forms of work of business representatives at the current business forum. In particular, this refers to the holding of a contact and cooperation exchange and a round table "Promising directions of Belarusian-Latvian investment and innovation cooperation" with the participation of representatives of the Embassy of Belarus in Latvia and the Embassy of Latvia in Belarus, business circles of Latvia and the Vitebsk region, and heads of local governments of the Latgale region of Latvia. The Latvian delegation, which arrived in Vitebsk for negotiations, includes about 80 representatives. "This is a significant event for the development of bilateral cooperation," emphasized the ambassador, expressing confidence that its outcome will be an increase in the number of joint Belarusian-Latvian enterprises. "Latvian investors have already shown interest in implementing various projects in Braslav, Miory districts, and Vitebsk," added Alexander Gerasimenko. The International Forum "Innovative Business - Investments of the Future" is taking place in Vitebsk on October 21-22 with the participation of over 200 representatives of business circles from Russia, Lithuania, Latvia, Bulgaria, Great Britain, Poland, the Czech Republic, Germany, Italy, Norway, India, Vietnam, Azerbaijan, and Spain.
