The charitable New Year campaign "Our Children" will start in Belarus on December 11, BelTA reports.
The campaign will run until January 10, 2018. More than 15,000 orphans, children with disabilities, and children whose parents died in the line of duty will participate in it.
Traditionally, children's festive New Year's performances with the participation of heads of republican government bodies, local executive and administrative bodies will be held in all regions of the country during the campaign. Celebrations will be organised in all small and large settlements of the country. In Minsk, 2,370 children from all regions of Belarus, as well as from the Riga Belarusian School and the Francysk Skaryna Belarusian Gymnasium in Vilnius, will gather at the main Christmas tree of the country at the Palace of the Republic.
The organisers of the campaign aim to surround every child with attention and care. The entire society is involved in its implementation: not only ministries, departments, public associations, but also individual entrepreneurs and private individuals. They provide assistance in organising New Year's celebrations and make donations.
