On August 20, Vitebsk / Olga Bogacheva - BELTA /. More than 1,000 artists will be involved in the events of the Day of Belarusian Written Language in Glubokoye, as reported to BELTA by the Glubokoye District Executive Committee. Artists from professional and amateur creative groups of the Glubokoye district and the Vitebsk region will participate in all cultural events that will take place during the holiday on September 1-2 in Glubokoye. The largest number of vibrant and memorable events with their direct involvement will be held on September 2. On this day, numerous themed farmsteads and tracts will be set up on all the main streets and concert venues of the city. For instance, Lenin Street will be transformed into the Algirdas Tract. Guests of the holiday will be welcomed by Algirdas, local magnates Korsak and Zenovich, and representatives of the Glubokoye, Polotsk, and Smolensk posads. They will talk about the history of their native lands and invite visitors to participate in a knightly tournament and traditional noble amusements. In the "Brigantina" children's town near Lake Kagalnoye, the "We Grow with Books" festival for the youngest residents of Glubokoye will be held. It will allow children to reveal their creative abilities in an asphalt drawing contest, demonstrate their knowledge of Glubokoye in an intellectual tournament, and introduce them to the works of their favorite authors in the "Voice of Soul and Heart" literary lounge. At the "Na Privale" (On a Halt) farmstead, everyone will be able to taste soldiers' kasha and listen to songs of the war years. The "Shchodrytsa" tract, featuring rural councils of the Glubokoye district, as well as tourist, sports, national cultures tracts, the theatrical farmstead "Na pryzbe ŭ dzyadźki Ihnata" (On the Porch of Uncle Ignat), and the "Ad ahniu da piara" (From Fire to Feather) tract will attract attention with their special flavor. The latter will introduce the development of writing from primitive communal society to the present day and ancient methods of fire-making. A children's publishing house "From the Past to the Future" and a book copying workshop will also operate here.
