More than 1,000 Christmas tree markets will operate in Belarus from December 20 to 31, Deputy Minister of Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade Irina Narkevich informed journalists today, as reported by a BELTA correspondent.

"A total of 1,079 Christmas tree markets will be operational, with about 200 of them located in Minsk," noted Irina Narkevich.
According to her, natural fir and pine trees up to 3 meters in height will be available for purchase, as well as Christmas trees in containers (pots) and festive bouquets made from coniferous branches.
Irina Narkevich emphasised that the prices for fir and pine trees will suit consumers of all income levels. Specifically, depending on the region of supply, prices will range from Br7-15 for trees up to 1 meter, Br9-20 for trees from 1 to 2 meters, Br10-23 for trees from 2 to 3 meters, and Br20-100 for trees in containers (pots).
Furthermore, according to the Deputy Minister, over 1,000 fairs and more than 17,000 events aimed at stimulating demand are planned across the country during the Christmas and New Year holidays. These include sales exhibitions, price reduction promotions, and advertising campaigns with food tastings, among others.
