The length of the trade rows at the "Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk" festival this year will exceed 10 km. This was announced today at an on-site meeting of the organisational committee for the preparation and holding of the forum by the Chairman of the Vitebsk City Executive Committee, Viktor Nikolaykin, as reported by a BELTA correspondent.
According to the mayor, during the festival days, the trade rows, where over 100 individual entrepreneurs and legal entities from all over the country will operate, will be located on 17 sites. The layout of the facilities includes Freedom Square, Pushkin Street, Tolstoy Street, Suvorov Street, Lenin Street, Victory Park, and the cultural and historical complex "Golden Ring of Vitebsk 'Dvina'". Approximately 300 non-stationary trade outlets and summer cafes operating in a fair format will offer their products to guests and participants of the festival.
This year's innovation – the design of trade pavilions in a unified style – was appreciated by the Deputy Prime Minister, Igor Petrishenko. "This is correct, but we need to go further: to install glass pavilions, which will look more dignified and aesthetically pleasing. We need to improve," the Deputy Prime Minister noted.
An on-site meeting of the organisational committee for the preparation and holding of the "Slavianski Bazaar" took place in Vitebsk today with the participation of Deputy Prime Minister Igor Petrishenko. Its participants visited key sites of the forum, including the "Dukhovskoy Kruglik" exhibition hall and the Summer Amphitheatre, where they familiarised themselves with the readiness of the city's main stage and the conditions for artists.
The "Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk" International Arts Festival will be held from July 8 to July 17. The official opening ceremony and gala concert will take place in the Summer Amphitheatre on July 11, and the closing ceremony on July 15. Additional events are planned for July 8-10 and July 16-17.
