Over 130 representatives from the Vitebsk region will travel to Russia's Krasnodar Krai this year as part of student work brigades, the regional committee of the NGO "BRSM" informed a BELTA correspondent.

"Every year, the regional headquarters of student work brigades helps young people find work they enjoy, including outside of Belarus. Last year, about 190 people worked in Russia as part of outbound student brigades. This summer, over 130 members of service and pedagogical brigades, formed from students of the region, will travel to Krasnodar Krai. The work shift will last until the end of August," the committee reported.

The pedagogical brigade UFO ("New Leadership Brigade named after Shmyrev"), which was recognised as the best outbound brigade of the republic based on the results of last year's work semester, will again operate in Krasnodar Krai. The official departure of students for work at the All-Russian Children's Centre "Orlyonok" will take place on May 25 at 10:00 AM in the Youth Square (Kuibyshev Avenue). Here, the student brigade members will also participate in an environmental work campaign, focusing on the improvement of the square.

"Young people from the region annually participate in the republican competition 'Youth for the Cleanliness of Cities and Villages'. Over the past three years, activists of the Vitebsk region's BRSM have won over 30 prizes in the competition and have been awarded a Certificate of Honour from the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection," the committee noted.
