More than 15 retail outlets are planned to be opened by the end of the year in the Vitebsk region, BELTA was informed at the Economy Committee of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee. The largest of them is the "Kopeyechka" ODO shopping centre in Orsha. The implementation of these projects is carried out within the framework of the "Vittorg" subprogramme of the Regional Programme for Innovative and Investment Development of the Vitebsk Region for 2011-2015. In total, from 2011 to October 1 of the current year, 43 out of 73 planned measures with a start of implementation in 2011-2012 have been completed under this subprogramme in the region, and 23 measures are being implemented. During this period, Br388.5 billion was mastered, about 3.1 thousand jobs were created. 29.3 thousand sq.m. of retail space was commissioned, which increased the provision of retail space to the population by 24 sq.m. per 1 thousand people. By 2012, over Br15 billion is to be mastered through the implementation of the document's measures, and 120 jobs are planned to be created. In general, since the beginning of the programme document's implementation, major retail outlets have been opened in Vitebsk: the "Marko-City" business centre of SOOO "Marko", the "Korona" hypermarket of OOO "Tabak-invest", the "Omega" firm SZAO trade and service centre in the Bilevo-1 microdistrict and a supermarket on V. Internatsionalistov Street, the "Vitebskiye Produkty" OAO trade and administrative complex, the "Ganna" shopping centre and the "U Ganny" restaurant of OAO "Vitebskaya Broyler" Poultry Farm. In the consumer cooperation system, 25 shops have been put into operation in Verkhnedvinsk, Gluboksky, Gorodok, Liozno, Orsha, Tolochin and Shumilino districts. In addition, projects for the construction of shops in Chashniki by ChUP "Chashnikskaya Mezhraybaza" and in Shumilino by Shumilino Raypo were completed ahead of schedule, the modernization of the "Promtovary" №4 shop of OAO "Universalторг" in Novolukoml and the reconstruction of a building for a shop in Beshenkovichi have begun. The "Vittorg" subprogramme is aimed at creating conditions for the most complete satisfaction of the population's demand for a range of goods and services, improving the culture of service based on the introduction of an effective goods movement system, expanding the infrastructure of the retail network, and re-equipping the industry.
