Over 2.1 thousand litres of sunflower oil worth Br31 million have been confiscated from an enterprise in Gluboksky district, BELTA was informed by the press centre of the Ministry of Taxes and Duties Inspectorate for Vitebsk region. The Ministry of Taxes and Duties Inspectorate of the Republic of Belarus for Gluboksky district, during an unscheduled thematic operational inspection of one of the joint-stock companies, discovered goods at a warehouse – 2140 litres of refined sunflower oil. The inspectors were presented with a supply agreement for the oil concluded with a private trading enterprise, a waybill, as well as other documents confirming the quality and safety of the oil. However, during control measures, employees of the Ministry of Taxes and Duties Inspectorate for Gluboksky district, together with law enforcement agencies, established that the waybill was not legally valid. The director of the private trading enterprise did not confirm the fact of concluding a contract with the joint-stock company for the supply of oil under the specified waybill, and the loading point indicated in the waybill does not correspond to reality. By the resolution of the Economic Court of Vitebsk region, the joint-stock company was brought to administrative responsibility in the form of a fine of Br3 million with confiscation of goods. In the first quarter of 2012, tax inspectorates of Vitebsk region conducted over 860 effective unscheduled thematic operational inspections. As a result, over Br29 million in taxes were additionally charged, and commodity-money values and cash assets worth Br0.9 billion were converted into state revenue. 35 violations of legislation regulating the procedure for acquiring, transporting, and selling goods were identified. Due to the absence of documents confirming the acquisition or release of goods for sale by business entities, commodity-money values worth over Br760 million were seized.
