"The second shift of recreation in camps is nearing its end for the children. During the first and second shifts, over 286,000 children visited summer health resorts. Of these, more than 94,000 were in 24-hour camps and over 192,000 in day camps," said Gennady Bolbatovsky. In total, it is planned to provide health resort services for about 350,000 children during the summer campaign in the republic.
Including these, over 56,000 children attended sports and recreation camps (this is a new form of recreation for schoolchildren, with subsidies for such camps approved for the first time this year) during the two shifts, 31,000 attended specialised camps, and about 14,000 attended work and recreation camps.
During the first and second shifts, over 5,200 camps were operational, of which almost 1,200 were 24-hour camps.
Regarding the financial aspect of children's recreation, the head of the centre noted that the actual cost of vouchers for children's health resorts turned out to be lower than projected. "This indicates that this form of recreation is accessible to children, as the parental contribution is about 10% including subsidies. For instance, based on the actual costs of the first and second shifts, the cost of a voucher for a 24-hour camp with a stay of at least 18 days was Br3,780,000 (undernominated rubles) compared to a planned cost of Br3,850,000. The cost of a voucher for a day camp was Br845,000 compared to a projected cost of over Br1,035,000," added Gennady Bolbatovsky.
