On September 12, Vitebsk / Olga Bogacheva - BELTA /. More than 32% of the heat sources in the Vitebsk region have received readiness certificates for the winter period, Dmitry Gerasimov, First Deputy Head of the Housing and Communal Services Department of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, told a BELTA correspondent.
The plan for preparing for the inter-seasonal period includes over 500 heat sources in the region, maintained by the housing and communal services. More than 160 of them have already passed all the necessary tests and received readiness certificates. Work is underway on the remaining ones in accordance with the schedules.
As of September 4, all boiler equipment and heating networks have undergone hydraulic tests, and preventive maintenance has been carried out on 92% of the boiler houses planned for repair and 90.3% of the central heating points. Six boiler houses in Gorodok, Rossony, Tolochin, Shumilino, Gluboksky districts, and Chashniki are being converted from gas to local types of fuel with mechanized loading for the upcoming season. In the latter settlement, this work has already been completed.
Preparations for winter are also underway in other areas, noted Dmitry Gerasimov. The replacement of 62.4 km of heating networks has been completed, which is 52% of the plan. 80.6% of the task for thermal insulation on heating networks has been repaired. 80.1% of wood fuel, 82.1% of firewood, 71.7% of wood chips, 90.5% of wood waste, and 83% of peat have been procured.
It is planned to complete all preparatory work for winter in the region by October 1.
