22 May, Vitebsk /Diana Kurilo - BELTA/. A rating of cities and districts is being created in the Vitebsk region, BELTA was informed by the organisational and personnel work department of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee. At the beginning of the current year, the chairman of the regional executive committee, Alexander Kosinets, instructed to develop a system for assessing the socio-economic development of the districts and cities of the region and, based on this, to draw conclusions about the effectiveness of the work of the local vertical of power. The pilot project of the rating has already been presented for the governor's consideration. The assessment scale includes more than 40 indicators characterizing the economic and financial situation, and the situation in the social sphere of the administrative-territorial unit. For example, four criteria have been introduced for a comprehensive assessment of foreign economic activity. The situation in the social sphere is intended to be considered based on the state of affairs with offences and workplace injuries. Work with citizens' appeals and the dynamics of justified complaints have also been included in the assessed items. It is expected that the rating of the region's cities and districts will be formed quarterly. -0-
