On March 23, Vitebsk / Diana Kurilo - BELTA /. More than 50 people have been interviewed as witnesses in the criminal case concerning the fire at the Rossonskaya school, reported Inna Gorbacheva, official representative of the Investigative Committee Department for the Vitebsk region, to a BELTA correspondent.
Among those interviewed are school pupils, individuals injured during the fire and recognised as victims in this criminal case. The investigation is ongoing. Documentation related to the organisation of the school's operations, fire safety documentation from the school and the Rossonsky District Education Department, and documentation provided by the Rossonsky District Department for Emergency Situations have been seized and are under examination.
As previously reported, on March 7 of this year, at approximately 8:00 AM, a fire broke out in the premises of the Rossonskaya Secondary School named after Masherov, originating from waste paper stored there, which subsequently led to the spread of the fire. As a result of the incident, eight students of the educational institution sustained bodily injuries of varying severity. On this fact, on the same day, the Investigative Committee Department for the Vitebsk region initiated a criminal case under Part 2 of Article 304 of the Criminal Code of Belarus - "Violation of fire safety rules". Currently, five of the injured have been discharged from the hospital, and three continue to receive treatment in Vitebsk.-0-
