More than 50% of the grain crop area has been harvested in the Vitebsk region, the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee's Agriculture and Food Committee informed a BELTA correspondent.
As of August 8, 52.3% of the area, or 163.6 thousand hectares, has been harvested in the region. 441.3 thousand tons of grain have been threshed with an average yield of 27 centners per hectare.
