the planting of birch and pine saplings is underway in the plots of the Slobodskoye forestry.
The administration of the Lepel District Executive Committee, led by Chairman Mikhail Kiselevich, schoolchildren, students of the agricultural technical college, and representatives of work collectives, numbering over 100 people, are planting trees on an area exceeding 11 hectares.
This year, the campaign is dedicated to the Year of Quality and is held under the slogan "Plant Your Own Tree!".
— I have been participating in this beneficial initiative for several years now.
It's a great opportunity to spend time outdoors, engage in physical activity, and interact with colleagues in an informal setting. However, the main goal for each of us is to help the forest restore its resources, — noted Andrey Pukhalsky, Military Commissar of the Lepel and Ushachi districts. —
We must also teach children to treat the forest and nature as a whole with care.
— We participate in similar campaigns annually, contributing to the preservation and enhancement of our republic's forest resources. Forest planting is an act of love for our native land, an understanding of the importance of preserving forests for future generations, — says Olga Bazhenova, Head of the District Inspectorate of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection. — It is gratifying that the young residents of our district are actively participating in the campaign. In this way, children not only help forestry enterprises with planting forest crops but also learn from a young age to treat the green kingdom with care.
Anyone wishing to participate is welcome – representatives of organizations, enterprises, educational institutions, and concerned residents of the district.
