The XII Inter-industry Spartakiad of Trade Unions of the Vitebsk Region, dedicated to the 75th anniversary of liberation from the Nazi invaders and the 115th anniversary of the trade union movement in Belarus, will be held in Vitebsk on September 6-7, the organisers informed BELTA.

16 teams of industry trade unions from the region will come to the competition. Over 500 participants will have to demonstrate their physical fitness over two days. Team representatives will compete for the best results in football, volleyball, darts, combined events, kettlebell lifting, table tennis, and other exercises.

Representatives of various professions will take part in the competitions. The Spartakiad is designed to promote a healthy lifestyle. "The main thing here is not victory, but participation, the physical recharge of the body that the competitions provide, as well as an uplifted mood and corporate spirit," the organisers noted.

The competitions are organised by the regional trade union association and the regional sports club of the FPB.
