"One of the areas we are actively developing is work with electronic prescriptions. All our pharmacies serve citizens with prescriptions issued electronically. To date, since the implementation in autumn 2015, over 6.5 million prescriptions have been issued in Belarus, with over 5.5 million in Minsk," said Inna Zverko.
Electronic prescriptions have clear advantages, added the Head of the Information and Pharmaceutical Centre. In particular, errors at the prescription and dispensing stages are eliminated. Doctors have information about what is available in the pharmacies of the city.
RUP "Belpharmacia" includes 200 pharmacies in Minsk. They are equipped with modern software that allows for the widest possible provision of electronic services to the public. Information kiosks are located in the enterprise's pharmacies, which visitors can use to independently check the availability of a required medicine in that pharmacy without needing a pharmacist's assistance, and also to familiarise themselves with the instructions for use.
Stickers with QR codes are placed in all RUP "Belpharmacia" pharmacies. To use this service, you need to launch a special application and point your smartphone camera at the sticker. Scanning the QR code allows the patient to view the range of medicines in the pharmacy and, via links, find the addresses of the nearest pharmacies. Additionally, information about the availability of certain drugs can be obtained through the "Search for Medicines in Minsk Pharmacies" section on the enterprise's website.
The "Healthcare of Belarus" exhibition will run until March 30. It is the largest showcase of the latest achievements in medical science and practical healthcare. Over 240 exhibitors from 17 countries are demonstrating their products and technologies. Participants include global leaders in the medical and pharmaceutical industries, and developers of new diagnostic and treatment technologies.
