The traditional regional New Year's celebration brought together over 950 children aged 8 to 14 from across the northern region at the "Vitebsk" Concert Hall.
Participants of the event included top students, cadets, winners of creative contests and sports competitions, activists, and children from foster and large families.
For them, the holiday organizers prepared a variety of games, New Year's themed areas, photo zones, entertainment locations, and masterclasses.
Trofim Presnyakov, a ninth-grader from Gorodok Secondary School No. 2 named after A. Sobolevsky, an active participant in subject Olympiads:
- This is my first time being invited to such a large-scale celebration, and I'm really enjoying it here. We've already watched several performances, taken photos in the New Year's photo zones, and are eagerly anticipating the musical. The mood is festive, and the atmosphere is simply magical!
Traditionally, the "Vitebsk" Cultural Centre prepared a performance for the New Year's celebration. This time, it was the New Year's musical "Miracles Without Magic."
The head of the region, Alexander Subbotin, congratulated the holiday participants.
- Today, there are actually no adults in the hall. Even though I'm already 48 years old, just like you, I'm waiting for magic, gifts, and the fulfillment of wishes. I wish for all your problems and hardships to remain in 2024, and for 2025 to bring you only happiness, joy, new victories, acquaintances, friends, and only positive emotions. May everything be well in your families in the coming year! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
