In the Grodno region, it is planned to bring 951 hectares of potentially fertile, but currently vacant and weed-infested lands adjacent to agricultural cooperatives into economic circulation. This is stipulated by the action plan for putting the land in order and improving settlements in 2011, which was approved by the Grodno Regional Executive Committee, reports a BELTA correspondent. Currently, in the districts of the region, the ploughing of wastelands, bushes, and land strips along republican and local roads is in full swing. The plan provides for the demolition of 160 emergency and unusable agricultural buildings and structures. The released plots will also be brought into economic circulation. Over the year, it is planned to carry out land reclamation measures on an area of 3 thousand hectares.
