This was reported to a BELTA correspondent by Elena Andreikova, Head of the Representative Office "Vitebsk Regional Department of the Republican Centre for Health Improvement and Sanatorium-Resort Treatment of the Population". Br534.4 million has been allocated from state social insurance funds for the preparation of facilities to receive children, and Br960 million from the regional budget. In addition, over Br2 billion earned during the republican subbotnik will be directed to these purposes. The main part of the sum from the latter source of funding will go to strengthening the material and technical base of the "Vityaz" camp, which the joint-stock company of the same name is transferring to communal ownership. In the near future, a programme will be developed for the development of this camp in order to make it the best in the region and the republic. In total, this summer, 35 stationary camps with round-the-clock stay will operate in the region, which will receive 24,000 children and adolescents during the season, as well as 630 day camps. The latter will host 31,000 boys and girls. The preparation of the camps is already underway. Their acceptance is scheduled for the last ten days of May, and the camps will receive the first children from June 3. The mass arrival of children will begin on June 10. -0-
