This year, the sectoral trade union has allocated over Br50 thousand for the summer health resort treatment of children of healthcare workers in the Vitebsk region. This was reported to a BELTA correspondent by the Vitebsk Regional Organization of the Belarusian Trade Union of Healthcare Workers (BPRZ).
"The Vitebsk Regional Organization of the BPRZ has successfully implemented a large-scale summer health resort treatment program for children of medical workers. Over Br50 thousand was allocated from the trade union budget. The cost of vouchers ranged from Br482 to Br860 depending on the accommodation conditions. Special attention was paid to supporting large families and single-parent families, as well as families raising children with disabilities," the organization noted.
Particular attention was paid to creating safe conditions for the children's recreation, enabling them to have a full and healthy holiday. "Summer holidays are not only a time for rest and recuperation but also a wonderful opportunity to discover talents and engage with cultural values. As part of this year's health resort campaign, 546 children of trade union members enjoyed stays in full-time camps," noted Vladimir Plytkevich, Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Organization of the BPRZ.
He added that the sectoral trade union also provided gratuitous assistance to the regional children's clinical center for the purchase of sports equipment and a television.
"The high-quality provision of summer holidays for the children of medical workers was made possible through the coordinated efforts of the regional trade union committee, primary trade union organizations, and the administrations of healthcare institutions. Trade union organizations will continue to work on improving the conditions for the recreation and health resort treatment of children of medical workers, preserving and developing the achieved results," emphasized Vladimir Plytkevich.
