During the "Our Children" campaign, representatives of the officer assemblies, veteran and trade union organizations of the state security agencies will visit Tesnovskaya Secondary School named after F.E. Dzerzhinsky, Zhabinkovsky Special Boarding School for Children with Visual Impairment, Zavoytyanskaya School-Kindergarten, Bogushevskaya Sanatorium Boarding School for Children with Tuberculosis, other children's homes, schools and children's rehabilitation centers throughout Belarus.
The press service reported that on the eve of New Year and Christmas, employees of the State Security Committee, led by KGB Chairman Valery Vakulchik, visited the sponsored Minsk City Medical Rehabilitation Center for Children with Psychoneurological Disorders. "Special sports equipment, as well as equipment for conducting the Wechsler test, purchased with funds from the officer assembly of the state security agencies, were handed over to the center's swimming pool, and each of the center's young patients received a sweet gift," the press service noted.
It was added that KGB officers have been actively participating in the life of the center for 29 years. For example, during republican workdays, the territory and premises of the center are improved, and other necessary assistance is provided.
